Information on travel requirements for minors on domestic flights
Bogota, Saturday, June 10, 2023 13:30 hours.
Part 5 of the Colombian Aeronautical Regulations establishes as valid identification documents for domestic flights:
- Bring your original passport, valid for at least 6 months and in good condition.
- We remind you that within all our programs and regular tours (web and catalog), only 1 suitcase of maximum 20 kg per person is allowed.
Remember that you must present the ORIGINAL documents. That is, NO photocopies, photographs or scans are allowed.
Underage passengers must identify themselves and present these travel documents when requested by the airline at check-in or in the departure lounge at boarding time. In case of failure to present them, the regulations establish that the airline may deny boarding.
In the event that the identity card is being processed, the password (proof of document being processed) issued by the National Civil Registry may be used as an identification document for domestic flights.
In the event that the minor is close to reaching an age that generates a change in the identification document, a transition period will be granted for a term of three (3) months, within which time the respective document will be accepted as valid according to the age range.
