
ADMINISTRATIVE FEE ON SALES MADE THROUGH VIRTUAL MEANS
In accordance with Resolution 3596 of 2006, issued by the Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics, when airline tickets are sold entirely electronically, airlines and travel agencies are authorized to apply an administrative fee different from the one stipulated in said resolution. This fee will be itemized when the total cost of the reservation is viewed on the transactional platform.
In that regard, Article 2 of Resolution 4561 of 2006 —which amends Article 4 of Resolution 3596 of 2006— establishes:
“Article 4°. In the case of sales made entirely online, airlines and travel agencies may charge an administrative fee different from that indicated in this Resolution.
Airlines and travel agencies must inform the aeronautical authority regarding the administrative fee and other conditions of online air ticket sales.
Sales made entirely online are understood to be those that involve the entire sales process virtually, including payment.
Single paragraph. This Resolution will come into effect with respect to sales made entirely via the Internet on January 15, 2007, from which date travel agencies and airlines intending to make sales through this system must submit to the Aeronautical Authority the administrative fee and other applicable conditions
